Scientific Initiation
Programs (CI) aim to insert students (undergraduate and high school) into the scientific universe, awakening a vocation for science, developing scientific thinking, contributing to academic training, promoting the formation of new researchers and the strengthening of research and technological innovation groups and promoting institutional scientific policy.
Students can work in research projects as scholarship holders or volunteers and will have the opportunity to present their scientific productions at events, such as the Scientific Initiation Seminar (SEIC) and the Innovation and Technology Show (NT) of the Meeting of Knowledge, which take place every year.
Public notices for scientific initiation programs (IC) are released every six months. The requirements and attributions of students and advisors, as well as the regiment of UFOP's Scientific Initiation programs, are established by Resolution CEPE 7,795/2019. The procedures for registration and selection criteria for research projects are defined by the respective Public Notices available at https://propp.ufop.br/pesquisa/iniciacao-cientifica#editais.
