PROPPI is responsible for managing institutional master's, doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships financed by Capes, Fapemig and UFOP itself. It is also responsible for communicating with funding agencies.
Capes Masters and Doctoral Scholarships
Objectives
The objective of the program is to train high-level human resources, providing stricto sensu with adequate conditions for the development of their activities.graduate programs stricto sensu, defined based on the results of the monitoring and evaluation system coordinated by CAPES, so that they maintain, full-time, students with excellent academic performance.
Regulations
Master's and doctoral scholarships are granted by CAPES within the scope of the Social Demand Program and are regulated by CAPES Ordinance No. 76, of April 14, 2010.

ON THE POSSIBILITIES OF ACCUMULATING A SCHOLARSHIP WITH PAID ACTIVITY.
Check in the CAPES letter for situations in which CAPES scholarship holders may be allowed to accumulate the perception of the scholarship with paid activity.

UFOP Masters and Doctoral Scholarships
UFOP finances academic master's and doctoral scholarships, within the scope of the Master's and Doctoral Institutional Scholarship Program. The objectives of the program are: I - to contribute to the training of postgraduate students at the master's and doctoral level through pedagogical activities at the undergraduate level; II- contribute to improving the quality of undergraduate education; III- encourage innovative pedagogical practices. The rules are provided for in Resolution CEPE 7245.

Publication of the Call for the Doctoral Sandwich Program Abroad (PDSE) of CAPES for the year 2022.
The proposals approved by the Graduate Programs that meet the requirements established by CAPES and that are aligned with the UFOP Internationalization Plan will be classified .
The scholarships will be intended for students:
I - Who are regularly enrolled in a doctoral course in Brazil with a grade equal to or greater than four in the CAPES Assessment;
II - Evidence of qualification to enjoy, abroad, the opportunity for theoretical deepening, data collection and processing, or partial development of the experimental part of the thesis to be defended in Brazil; and
III - Who have the level of proficiency in the foreign language according to the rules of this Notice.
The duration of the scholarship is a minimum of six months and a maximum of ten months, corresponding, therefore, to a minimum of six and a maximum of ten monthly payments.
CAPES will be responsible for the financial support to the scholarship holders of the following benefits:
I - Monthly fee;
II - Travel allowance;
III - Installation assistance;
IV - Health insurance assistance; and
V - Additional location, when applicable.
